About Angela Mogridge


Angela Mogridge is founder and director of Ruby6, a cutting-edge web design agency working with a range of national and international clients including Origin Energy, Mountain Designs, Aurizon and Adenbrook Homes.

Growing up as the middle child in a family of six, Angela has always felt entrepreneurial and determined to succeed. From lead cellist in her High School Orchestra to competing in Regional and State sporting events, Angela thrived on new challenges and still to this day, she approaches every challenge and life experience with flair and tenacity.

Splitting her time between multiple business ventures, her involvement and passion for web design has been a consistent part of Angela’s vivacious career since her university days. Inspired by an education and technology subject at university, which focused on how to build a website for teaching purposes, she immersed herself into the digital world spending hours on coding and creating websites for family, friends and contacts.

With a Bachelor of Secondary Education and Arts under her belt, she took on a contract job teaching Maths at Nudgee Boys College. She later declined a full time job to pursue new opportunities and focus on website design.

Angela continued to freelance for six years but turned her passion it into a business in 2007, which was the birth of Ruby6. Within a few months they landed a large retailer, Mountain Designs, and have been growing rapidly ever since.

True to her opportunist nature, Angela started up a daily deals company in the UK called Go Wild Deals in 2010 while working on Ruby6 by day and Go Wild Deals at night. Within two months of trading, the business was a trending topic on Twitter and won the ‘Best Shopping website of the year’ in 2012 going up against big name’s Amazon and Tesco. Angela later sold her shares to the sales director who has now renamed the site.

For the past seven years, Ruby6 has continued to reach new heights of success! Some career highlights to date include working on QR’s national rebrand to Aurizon, quadrupling the sales of a Australian Protein company after helping them roll out a complete re-brand and being approached to do work for Origin Energy and Coles Group.

Angela always keeps her eyes open for new opportunities and struggles to stand still like any other entrepreneur. She is currently testing the waters for a new tech business venture, which is expected to launch later in the year.

In between projects and managing deadlines, Angela likes to restore her creative spirit and energy by travelling, trying different food and wines, enjoying different experiences and meeting new people.
